Hi! I am currently a second-year pre-dental student at UC San Diego. I was born and raised in China and received most of my early education there before moving to the United States for high school.

As someone who grew up speaking Mandarin as my first language, I understand how difficult it can be to learn English, especially when it comes to speaking and communicating confidently. Even after studying English for years, having a real conversation can feel very different from learning vocabulary and grammar in a classroom.

 

When I first came to the United States, I sometimes felt nervous speaking English because I was afraid of making mistakes or not knowing how to express myself.

These experiences inspired me to create Flueeng. I wanted to build a community where students could practice English in a comfortable environment without worrying about being perfect. Through Flueeng, I hope to give Chinese and Ukrainian students more opportunities to communicate with fluent English speakers while also making friends from different backgrounds.

For me, Flueeng is not only about learning English. It is about building confidence, sharing cultures, and creating genuine connections between people around the world.
